Hotel Security Officer

SUMMARYProvide a safe and secure environment for customers and for company property and employees.
Assist customers as necessary to ensure their satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Provide security in assigned areas of the property:
patrol the hotel and Maritime II building, handle problem situations, observe and report safety hazards.
Respond to calls; assess the situation and respond as per defined departmental and property protocol and procedures.
Oversee customer entry and exit from hotel, Atrium and Maritime II building.
Provide crowd control and direct traffic on property.
Assist customers, give directions, and provide personal escort to vehicles, offices, etc.
when requested.
Assist disabled customers as necessary.
Work effectively with other departments to handle customer situations and resolve problems.
Complete required logs, documents and incident reports for all incidents.
Comply with all Internal Controls, company, departmental and safety policies, procedures and regulations.
Must follow the Thoughtful Service model at all times.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalency; minimum six months security or law enforcement related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must be 18 years or older.
Valid Louisiana Driver's license.
LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Must have written and verbal command of English.
COMPUTER SKILLSBasic proficiency- Internet Explorer and /or other Internet Service ProvidersWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Salary:
$9.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
