Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.In this position, you will serve as a Records Management Coordinator ensuring that all records are accounted for, maintained, and controlled in accordance with Federal and DHS/FEMA acquisition policy and NARA guidelines and procedures. Typical duties assigned:
oExamining incoming purchase request for completeness, including purchase request numbers, accountcodes, item description, estimated costs, and quantities, and prepares the final copies of purchase ordelivery orders. oInputting contract file information and purchase order or contract data into a management informationsystem or procurement management report by gathering and consolidating pertinent information. oWorking with Contract Specialist/Contracting Officers and other Government personnel to provide closeoutsupport and related administrative assistance to include obtaining and consolidating resource files,reviewing invoice payments, completing and distributing closeout documents. Promotion Potential:
Positions filled under Stafford Act regulations generally do not have documented promotion potential; however, dependent on an employee's ability to perform higher level duties, the continuing need for an employee to perform work associated with a higher level position, and administrative recommendation and approval, promotions may be earned by CORE employees. The qualification requirements listed below must be met within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. You qualify for this position at the IC-07 level (starting salary $43,251.00) if you possess the following:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (IC-06) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes:
oUtilizing a variety of automated systems to input contract data, generate procurement and/or verify information; and oPerforming administrative and clerical operations and procedures to include filling and/or distributing documentation Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and provides valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.Your application must show that you meet all requirements for this position. Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
