Job Description The successful candidate will work in applying geotechnical engineering techniques, procedures, and principles on a variety of civil engineering projects including transportation, water, wastewater, and hazardous waste projects. Must have solid understanding of soil mechanics, shallow and deep foundations, slope stability, earth structures, earth pressures, instrumentation, construction monitoring, and soils laboratory testing. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering required. Position requires registration as an Engineer-in-Training, or ability to obtain an EIT within 18 months of hire. Knowledge of commonly used computer software (Word, Excel, AutoCAD) expected. Candidate must have excellent writing and communication skills. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
