Position Summary
The Instrument Technician must possess the knowledge and skills needed to assist in maintaining, replacing or installing all aspects of Instrumentation. Instrument Technician will assist in troubleshooting and/or mitigating possible failures of field instruments using tools such as AMS and various other trade tools utilized on a day to day basis by shadowing upper level technicians. Instrument Technicians must be able to work various shifts and/or shut-downs. Additionally Instrument Technicians must be available to work scheduled (planned) or unscheduled (unplanned/short-notice) hours for routine, emergency, or turnaround work on nights and/or weekends as needed to meet operating and/or business needs.

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, manufacturer's literature, diagrams or schematics.
Have good written and oral communication and interpersonal (people) skills.
Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, area, volume, flow, current, resistance, power and voltage. Ability to apply basic concepts of math, algebra, geometry, and ohms law
Ability to be diversified and capable of solving or assisting in solving complex problems that deal with process, instrumentation, network, electronic, hydraulic, controls and pneumatic systems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Have excellent reasoning skills to be proactive or reactive in solving problems in a safe and timely manner. Problem solving is a critical part of a technician's job.

Education and/or Experience for Instrument Technician Level 1
Candidate must possess one of the following to be considered.
Associates Degree in Instrumentation.
Certificate in Instrumentation.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. NCCER Level 2 Instrumentation Certification and 2 years of Instrumentation experience.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. NICET Level 1 Certification and 2 years of Instrumentation experience.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. ISA Level 1 Certification and 2 years of Instrumentation experience.
Relevant military training with one of the 3 Certifications Levels mentioned above (NCCER, NICET or ISA).

Education and/or Experience for Instrument Technician Level 2
Candidate must possess one of the following to be considered.
Relevant Engineering Degree.
Associates Degree in Instrumentation with 1 years Instrument and Controls system work experience.
Certificate in Instrumentation with 1 years Instrument and Controls system work experience.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. NCCER Level 3 Instrumentation Certification and 5 years of Instrumentation experience.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. NICET Level 2 Certification and 3 years of Instrumentation experience.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. ISA Level 1 Certification and 3 years of Instrumentation experience.
Relevant military training with one of the 3 Certifications Levels mentioned above (NCCER, NICET or ISA) and 1 year of Instrument work experience.

Education and/or Experience for Instrument Technician Level 3
Candidate must possess one of the following to be considered.

Relevant Engineering Degree and 3 years Instrument and Controls systems work experience
Associates Degree in Instrumentation with 4 years Instrument and Controls system work experience.
Certificate in Instrumentation with 5 years Instrument and Controls system work experience.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. NCCER Level 4 Instrumentation Certification and 7 years of Instrumentation experience.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. NICET Level 4 Certification and 5 years of Instrumentation experience.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent. ISA Level 2 Certification and 5 years of Instrumentation experience.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
