Mig Welder
Savard is currently seeking experienced Mig welders.
Summary:
Must be familiar with and capable of using various types of welding equipment and performing a variety of welding functions. Will be required to perform other miscellaneous tasks, as supervisor deems necessary.
Job Duties:
Production MIG Welder
Metal Fabricator
Reads and interprets blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements
Cleans parts
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Must be proficient in MIG welding
Must have basic steel fabrication skills (saw, drill, punch, etc)
Must have basic welding tools, welding shield, hammer, chisel, tape measure, 12 adjustable wrench
Able to read a tape measure
Able to read and interpret documents furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, quality manuals and procedure manuals
Ability to read and interpret blue prints and specifications is a plus
Able to perform simple shop math, convert decimals to fractional equivalents
Able to identify and measure material
Able to work independently in the absence of supervision
This is a full time position.
Rate of pay is doe $18-20 per hour to start.
