Engineering client is looking for an Electrical Engineering Lead/Supervisor with 10
years of overall electrical engineering experience and 5
years of experience in the nuclear industry working for a Nuclear Operating company or an Engineering Firm. A combination of experience at a nuclear operating plant and an Engineering Firm will also be accepted. Client offers excellent pay, bonus, benefits and relocation. total compensation commensurate with experience
Responsibilities for the Electrical Engineer
Supervisor & Lead a small electrical design staff of Engineers & Designers in support of Nuclear Power Plant EPC projects
Prepare design change packages for scopes of work such as transformer replacement, circuit breaker replacement, installation of MOVs, & installation of control systems, motors & other electrical loads in commercial nuclear power plants
Perform electrical calculations for power distribution analyses and circuit breaker coordination
Identifies technical and staffing needs and works directly with the Engineering Manager to hire staff
Develop relationships with client counter parts
Perform supervisory reviews of technical deliverables developed by their assigned electrical staff
Prepare proposals and cost estimates, including reviewing those prepared within the electrical staff
Ensures that the staff maintain schedules, budgets and quality of deliverables
Assigns and prioritizes work and ensures their assigned staff is planning and executing work effectively
Requirements for the Electrical Engineer
10
years of related overall Electrical Engineering experience
5
years of experience in the nuclear industry working for a Nuclear Operating company or an Engineering Firm
Knowledge of Electrical and Nuclear standards and design calculations associated with nuclear plant electrical work
You need some experience either as a Supervisor or a Team Lead
Experience preparing design change packages for transformer replacement, circuit breaker replacement, installation of MOVs, installation of digital control systems, etc in commercial nuclear power plants
BS degree in Electrical Engineering from accredited program (a PE license a PLUS)
Nuclear Modification & Engineering Change Package experience
You need experience performing electrical calculations for power distribution analyses and circuit breaker coordination
Must have excellent organizational, time management, strategic planning, writing, communication, decision-making, and presentation skills
Ability to travel on occasion to support work at client sites
