MINIMUM
Qualifications:
A baccalaureate degree plus three years of professional level experience in information technology or electrical engineering.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Experience or training in information technology or electronic technician work will substitute for the required college training on the basis of twelve months of experience/training for two years of college.
An associate degree in computer science will substitute for the baccalaureate degree.
A baccalaureate degree with twenty-four semester hours in computer science, management information systems (MIS), quantitative business analysis-computer science, electrical engineering, information systems and decision sciences, computer engineering, telecommunications, or computer information systems will substitute for one year of the required experience.
A master's degree in the above fields will substitute for one year of the required experience.
Specialized degrees will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
NOTE:
Any college hours or degree must be from a school accredited by one of the following regional accrediting bodies:the Middle States Commission on Higher Education; the New England Association of Schools and Colleges; the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools; the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities; the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools; and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

This position delivers advanced level information technology technical support services essential to the ongoing operation and security of the systems and data hosted by the Louisiana Department of Revenue (LDR).Duties and responsibilities are comprehensive and diverse, having a department-wide impact on all systems and users.Reporting to the Senior Information Security Officer, this position has a security and compliance focus with the following major areas of responsibility:(1) Provides technical support services for the systems, applications, and databases utilized by the IT Security and Compliance section; (2) Provides enterprise system and network administration services for the systems administered by the IT Security and Compliance section; (3) Proactively works to ensure the security and integrity of LDR's enterprise systems and data; and (4) Proactively works to ensure LDR's compliance with internal and external security guidelines.The responsibilities of this position have daily direct impact on the security and accessibility of the Department's expanding inventory of critical business systems, applications, and data.
