Grainger is looking for an aspiring Senior Level candidate to join our team as part of growing technology practice for our master data management implementation. We are seeking experienced Sr. Software Engineers to join our team in our Lake Forest, IL Headquarters or our Chicago loop location. Additional responsibilities include:
Perform detailed analysis/design of functional and non-functional requirements and translate them to software solutions in the MDM environments
Participate in task level estimating of work assigned during the project planning stages.
MDM:
Hands on working experience with IBM Infosphere Master Data Management
Experience with overall Application Architecture in Master Data Management (MDM) with understanding of different components at the business, technology and data layers
Experience with migration and product upgrades in MDM space
Experience in integration of IBM MDM with other systems
Working knowledge of database modeling and tuning
Prior experience in performance tuning and optimization of MDM environment
Strong experience in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and enabling it via Web Services, Java and J2EE
At least 3 years experience with using Oracle database (prior experience with Exadata a plus)
IIS:
Minimum of 2
years of hands-on Data Stage coding experience with Information Server version 8.0 or greater using the basic processing stages (ie. Transformer, Lookup, Join, Merge, etc.) and basic source and target stages (ie. Sequential File, Data Sets and database connectors).
Knowledge of Information Server tool's basic functionality including Quality Stage, Information Analyzer, Business Glossary, Meta Data Workbench and Fast Track.
Design data integration/ETL jobs using IBM DataStage, QualityStage and Information Services Director.
Troubleshoot application issues including components such as DataStage, QualityStage or related products.
At least 3 years experience with using Oracle database (prior experience with Exadata a plus)
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Perl or shell scripting a plus.

Successful candidates will possess:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related area, or equivalent experience
6-8 years of Java programming (Java Certification a plus). Prior experience in a large eCommerce application is preferred.
Experience in all phases of SDLC, Agile Methodology preferred.
Proficiency in Oracle database system and relational database concepts.
Ability to work in a highly collaborative team consisting of both technical and business members.
Must be willing to work flexible hours to support customer needs and/or potentially follow-the-sun development hours with remote development teams.
Proven written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
Self-directed, with considerable initiative.
A passion for the customer and the ability to embrace change.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
