JAWOOD is seeking a QA Analyst
POSITION PURPOSE:
Need is for more of a technical resource (Associate Programmer Analyst or Junior Developer). Skills focus are SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Standard Query Language (SQL). This person will serve to help create reports from both Planview PPM tool and from Quality Center. Must have SSRS reporting experience along with SQL skills. Accountable for complying with all laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
This position reports to the Manager, Practice Development and Quality Assurance.
Necessary Contacts:
To do this job effectively the incumbent has to be in contact with:
INSIDE RELATIONSHIPS
Gathers information on assigned problems and consults with others in the department.
Frequent contact with personnel in other departments.
Works with Application Managers, Project Managers, and Technical Leads to resolve defects.
Assists Internal Audit with the testing of key internal controls within application systems.
OUTSIDE RELATIONSHIPS
Occasional attendance at technical conferences.
Occasional interaction with vendors to resolve problems.
Assists external auditors and regulatory agencies with the testing of key internal controls within application systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field. Four years of related experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Minimum of three to five years experience in working with computer systems and their support and/or operational systems and processes.
Experience in testing tools, debugging aids, and testing methodology along with experience in testing web, client-server, or mainframe applications required.
Requires knowledge of computing systems and the applications development process, including computer equipment, and programming and analysis techniques.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve logical problems such as those found in mathematics, statistics, etc.
Ability to review program source code to validate business rules contained in programmed procedures.
Ability to resolve problems with emphasis on troubleshooting ability. Ability to judge severity of problems and use discretion in obtaining services as needed.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills in order to interact with clients, management, technical staff, and vendors on technical issues.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Develops test plans and project schedules; prepares test scenarios and test data as needed; closely monitors and coordinates testing activities among clients, developers and other testing resources to ensure that testing is successful and is completed in a timely manner; facilitates testing status meetings and review sessions and synchronizes testing handoffs; tracks and manages test scenarios and defects to resolution and escalates issues to the appropriate level of management; obtains necessary signoffs from client management; validates that test plans are followed and communicates changes to appropriate personnel.
Installs new testing software and subsequent releases; manages Test Lab PCs and ensures software license compliance; researches vendor web sites to review problems, fixes, and other issues contained in the knowledge base; uses advanced Excel features to prepare test data; updates the test repository with SQL and runs SQL queries against test data for research and reporting purposes; develops and runs functional and load testing scripts using automated testing tools; knowledgeable of applications systems that require test scripts development; demonstrates subject matter expertise in the use of test repository software; uses project management software to build test schedules.
Provides team support and knowledge transfer to small groups of professionals; provides formal and informal training to client testers, developers and other testing resources in the management of test scenarios and defects; supports internal and external auditors in the testing of application controls; reviews, corrects and uploads test scenarios into the testing repository; develops comprehensive testing progress reports and communicates the status; ensures that all testing documentation is updated and filed appropriately.
Performs and/or participates in unit testing, system integration testing, load/stress testing and user acceptance testing as determined by the project; performs post-implementation reviews to ensure that changes to systems are functioning as intended; maintains a comprehensive body of test results to drive software process improvement initiatives and participates in those initiatives.
Understands IT Departmental Goals and Objectives and delivers work products to contribute to those goals.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
