What does the Day in the Life of the Maintenance team look like?

See the real work list, match it up with the challenges and then lay it all out with the job and company likes. That's it. We know you don't need a bunch of fluffy words and we've got work to do.

I was at my new hire orientation and I met a new Community Manager. She was explaining that she was having trouble finding someone knowledgeable in aqua thermo systems. After listening to her, I expressed that I had four years' experience with the systems. I was ecstatic to learn that she was looking for this person to fill a Service Manager opening. Before I knew it, I was being interviewed for the job and within a months' time, I went from a Service Technician to a Service Manager. I realize that won't be everyone's experience but what more could I have asked for? - T. J., Service Manager.

One day we were at our company Christmas party and I happened to meet the head of Information Technology. We were talking and I shared that I wanted the maintenance team to have email access. He asked me why I needed it. I gave him an example of a situation that happened over the weekend where I couldn't get critical information that I needed to take care of the property. I explained that if I had email I would have been able to get the situation resolved quickly. The next day my Community Manager let me know that we were all getting email access. And we all have email now. Just like that. To me that was huge. That speaks to the culture of where Cortland Partners is going. If you can explain why you need it, they will do their best to make it happen. I was like wow that blew me away. - D. C., Service Technician.

Whenever unit #### calls, she wants to know where Donald is. I love that. It speaks to the culture here. We get so many stories about how residents used to have to wait three weeks for service before we got here. They say now you guys come in and get it taken care of right away. It makes you feel good when you can see how this property has turned around. T.J. talking about D.C.
