This position works full-time in the overnight shift.
The Overnight Maintenance technician assists in the completion of the day-to-day activities, involving the maintenance of the building/facility, equipment and machinery including HVAC, building lighting systems, grounds keeping, and overall facility appearance.
The Overnight Maintenance Engineer also performs cleaning duties on first floor of facility to ensure public spaces are clean and fresh for guests each morning.
Ensures The Cook Hotel standards for quality, cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and safety are met in maintenance and custodial duties.
Requirements:
Essential Functions:
o Responds and attends to guest repair requests; resolves customer maintenance issues.
o Performs routine maintenance such as painting, carpet/floor cleaning, caulking, etc.
o Performs minor adjustments on HVAC systems, room furniture, fixtures and other items in the hotel.
o Deep cleans first floor public areas including the fitness center, business center, public restrooms, hotel lobby and lodge on every shift to ensure guests wake to a clean and fresh facility.
o Takes on cleaning projects such as rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies or other special cleaning projects on the first floor to meet cleanliness standards.
o Programs TV's and performs general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory duties.
o Obtains quotes/leads/pricing on various materials and making pre-approved purchases for the organization as needed.
o Identifies, locates, and operates all shut-off valves for equipment and all utility shut-offs for buildings.
o Portrays a positive company image and engages in professional and friendly communications with all clients and prospects.
o Monitors rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and other work areas in accordance with Cook Hotel specifications.
o Performing other duties and tasks as may be assigned from time to time by the Supervisor.
Minimum
Qualifications:
2 years of relevant maintenance experience in hospitality.
Flexibility and ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Strong mechanical aptitudes and effective problem solving skills.
