Collectively, each program, unit, division and group work together to provide the core services to taxpayers of the State of Louisiana and stakeholders of the agency.
LDR is comprised of the following groups:
Tax Collection, Charitable Gaming, Alcohol and Tobacco Control (ATC), Debt Recovery and Louisiana Tax Free Shopping Commission.
The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is LDR'S primary criminal tax enforcement unit.
Its function is to review alleged violations of the tax laws, to investigate those violations, and to recommend criminal prosecutions as warranted.
CID also investigates alleged criminal violations and serious misconduct by LDR employees.
In carrying out its role to identify willful noncompliance with the state's tax laws, CID relies on referrals from other divisions, as well as information from other governmental agencies and the public.
CID is also responsible for detecting and preventing fraudulent activity within the state's integrated software for return and payment processing.
ABOUT THIS POSITION:
The Administrative Assistant will serve as Secretary/Confidential Assistant to the Director of Criminal Investigations and will assist Division Director in compiling and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual reports on production, performance indicators, equipment needs, budget requests, personnel needs, forms and other miscellaneous projects and programs.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide administrative and support functions for the Criminal Investigations Division, including but not limited to the following:
Maintain and update personnel records; perform all payroll duties including file maintenance, record retention leave reconciliation charge backs, and prepares payroll system report.
Maintain adequate inventory of all office supplies and forms; prepare,/route supply and form requisitions; complete purchase requisitions for approval of director and forward to proper Official for signature, maintain property control inventory routing necessary forms for transfer and/or surplus of property in compliance with policy and procedures.
Serve as liaison to other divisions within the department and to the public.
Answer and screen incoming CID telephone calls providing assistance and/or routing to appropriate division or department personnel.
Answer CID telephone calls and provide information to taxpayers regarding the status of their tax account.
Receives, open, sort and distribute mail to the appropriate personnel or division and make copies and scan division correspondence into DELTA for review.
Set up interviews for new positions.
Schedule appointments and meetings.
Assist with making travel arrangements for Division Director and other division members.
Proofread travel expense reports.
Maintain inventory of CID badges (shield).
Maintain appropriate confidentiality of all division information.

Qualifications MINIMUM
Qualifications:
Four years of experience in which clerical work was a major duty.
SUBSTITUTIONS:
Training in a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for the required experience on the basis of six months of training for six months of experience for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
Completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum in a business school or technical institute will substitute for a maximum of one year of the required experience.
College training will substitute for the required experience on the basis of 15 semester hours for six months of experience.
NOTE:
Business or technical school training with less than completion will only be credited in six month increments.
Similarly, college training will only be credited in 15 semester hour increments.
NOTE:
Any college hours or degree must be from an accredited college or university.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
