Surgery Scheduler/Insurance Coordinator

Candidate must be organized, reliable, and able to multitask.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
Provides excellent customer service, including telephone and personal contact with patients, physicians, nurses, administrators, colleagues, and staff at outside offices Schedules all surgeries including pre-operative and anesthesia schedules Serves as an educational resource for patients by reviewing surgery packets, fees, and procedure information Communicates with insurance companies and physician offices in obtaining verification of benefits and authorizations for surgery Calculates insurance estimates for pre-payments; collects and posts all applicable payments including deductibles, co-payments, and co-insurance prior to surgery/treatment Qualifications Positive attitude, customer service focus, and team player.
Ability to prioritize and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while still paying attention to details.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-starter:
desire to learn required skills and take initiative in your training.
Strong work ethic:
report to work on time, committed to delivering the best medical and customer service experience, willing to go the extra mile for both co-workers and patients.
Schedule:
ability to work M-F.
High school diploma required.
