Summary:
Accurately verifies patient and specimen correlation.
Registers patients into the computer system and accessions according to given protocol with minimal error.
Accurately labels specimens and cassettes and distributes to the grossing area.
Position requires good judgment in correlation of specimens and clinical information.
Must be a team-player, maintain a cooperative attitude and support on-going changes in a professional manner.
This job includes all duties of Lab Accessioner 1 in addition to any additional tasks assigned by a manager or PA.

Excellent, accurate typing skills Must be a quick learner with good manual dexterity.
Must be able to adapt to changes in work schedule with good analytical and problem-solving skills, adjusting priorities as work requirements demand.
Must be able to perform multiple tasks correctly and simultaneously.
Must be able to work independently and well with others.
Must make decisions based on good judgment.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Verifies correlation of all paperwork and specimens received on patients Accurately accessions specimens with appropriate test code, labels all specimens and paperwork appropriately and scans all paperwork into the LIS Phones clients to obtain missing required information Returns rejected specimens to clients with appropriate rejection form information Accurately labels peripheral blood smear slides and consult slides/material and distributes cases appropriately Assist P.

Retrieve requested slides and/or blocks from warehouse as needed Unpacks, date stamps and distributes histology supplies and reagents as needed Discards trash and packages in red biohazard containers for disposal Maintains clean workstation Other duties as assigned by the Histology manager, P.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
