04 an hour The role of the Recovery Support Specialist is responsible for handling a wide variety of credit and collection functions which include assisting the recovery team with all daily tasks.
The Recovery Support Specialist must be member service oriented, dependable, reliable, have a positive attitude, and exhibit strong attention to detail.
The candidate is expected to utilize credit counseling and collection skills to assist the recovery team in maximizing recoveries, contacting members, and negotiating satisfactory payment arrangements.
Additionally, they must be comfortable posting payments to various general ledgers, keeping accurate records for accounting, handling escalated calls when necessary, and being able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A RECOVERY SUPPORT SPECIALIST INCLUDES:
Maintaining orderly files on each account with attention to complete and accurate detailing of all problems or correspondence.
Coordinating the filing of legal suits within the Member Solutions Department.
Utilizing excellent negotiation, influencing, and counseling skills to educate members on their alternatives.
Advising members of options before and after litigation.
Review requests for loan information and for corrections on the credit files of members.
RECOVERY SUPPORT SPECIALIST SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:
A high school education or GED.
2 years of directly related experience to include consumer loan collections, bankruptcy, legal, recovery, or another directly related field.
Must have experience in recovery or the legal aspects of collections.
Excellent oral, written, and telephone communication skills.
Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, and member service skills.
Ability to collect, analyze and interpret financial data.
Knowledge of MS Excel and Word required.
