Production Engineer
Our client, a leading manufacturer in the water chemistry industry, is seeking a Production Engineer in their Baton Rouge, LA location.
You'll minimize out-of-spec production by maintaining equipment in optimal condition, identifying, and reducing waste generation, and swiftly troubleshooting operational issues.
Your collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders will ensure smooth production processes and the elimination of bottlenecks to maximize production capacities.

o Monitor daily production and quality metrics, ensuring optimal unit operation and accurate reporting.
o Optimize production operations to maximize efficiency and on-stream time of manufacturing equipment.
o Lead safety training, conduct behavior-based safety audits, and prioritize safety in the unit.
o Develop and review standard operating procedures to meet ISO9001 and PSM requirements.
o Investigate non-conforming product and customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing effective corrective/preventive actions to reduce off-spec production and customer complaints.
Requirements:
o Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
o Previous experience in chemical manufacturing or a similar industry.
o Familiarity with Process Safety Management (PSM), Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and ISO standards.
o Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative Operations environment.
o Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
