Production Supervisor

Our subsidiary, Ecoservices is on the hunt for a Production Supervisor for our Baton Rouge, LA plant.
Responsibilities:
Develop and lead assigned operations group.
Provide coaching and direction in the areas of safety, continuous improvement, productivity, quality, performance and cost.
Administer discipline as needed to the operational group.
Develop and lead training and progression of employees.
Oversee daily operations and coordinates actions to address current issues & opportunities for improvements with other functional groups (Maintenance, Lab, Logistics, HSE) Provide backup in absence of Unit Manager.
Review and maintain production schedule.
Establish and communicate maintenance priorities for department.
Assist operations teams in documenting work notifications using SAP.
Follow up on completed work to make sure equipment is repaired and operating normally.
Provide direction, prioritize and schedule work for operations teams on a weekly and daily basis.
Track and respond to quality trends to make sure unit is consistently producing on spec product.
Coordinate routine equipment inspection and repair to help eliminate unexpected down time.
Maintain accuracy and completeness of procedures by periodic review and revision.
Document changes to procedures, equipment, and process in area of responsibility using the Management of Change System.
Make sure Unit Manager and hourly employees are aware of all changes.
Lead daily process troubleshooting and ensure the plant is running safely and efficiently Lead weekly production planning and month end closing and ordering of raw materials In line with the monthly production plan.
Provide effective coaching skills to operations teams (conflict management, problem resolution, coaching, winning together, etc.
) All essential duties are required 24/7 Available to work nights/weekends as required.
Develop Production Overtime Schedules for Production Unit Manager Approval Review and approve hourly timecards and vacation requests Daily communications with the Unit Manager on the Unit and employees' performance.
HS&E
Responsibilities:
Responsible and Accountable for HSE performance of the assigned Production Unit and its team members.
Understand and comply with Assist in reporting, documenting, and leading incident investigations for events in assigned Production Unit.
Track and Implement corrective actions for incidents in a timely manner.
Effectively communicate the results of these investigations to the Unit Manager.
Assign, document, ensure timely correction of deficiencies and verify completion found on Mechanical Integrity and Critical Safety Inspections including tank and transfer line inspections, SPCC inspections, and safety shower inspections.
Set and maintain housekeeping standards through daily area tours.
Lead area housekeeping / PGI inspections.
Maintain accurate and complete procedures through procedure certification.
Effectively conduct assigned Production Unit safety meetings, Toolbox talks, and Hazard Awareness topics.
Ensure compliance for all members of department with annual training requirements in site safety training matrix including the collection of documented signatures when training is complete.
Actively support and communicate the Ecovyst Principles for Managing Behavioral and Operational Safety (prior PQP Principles) Lead lockout / tag out and work permitting activities.
Participate in PHAs as required.
Complete incident and accident investigations Requirements:
Associate's degree (A.
A.
) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer knowledge including SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
People, Coaching, Coordinating, and Facilitating experience/skills preferable (5
years) Operations / Logistics / Maintenance / Supply Chain experience preferred (5
years) 24/7 Continuous manufacturing experience preferred (5
years) Knowledge of RC 14001 requirements Basic math and reading abilities.
Working knowledge of chemistry principles such as pH, density, pressure, and material compatibility Basic knowledge of labor law.
Basic knowledge of unit operations.
Effective organization and time management skills.
Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates exceptional self-motivation and takes ownership of the overall unit operations.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
