Reliability Engineer

Our client, a chemical manufacturer in the Baton Rouge, LA area, is seeking a Reliability Engineer to be an integral part of their Operations team.
The Reliability Engineer will champion the mechanical reliability program, enjoy investigating, evaluating, and analyzing reliability problems; problem solve, drive solutions, and leverage technologies to assess and validate solutions; lead and collaborate to execute tactical implementation of plans that align with maintenance, reliability, and mechanical integrity strategy.

Implement processes that maximize plant uptime and drive MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures) to the be best in class.
Improve equipment reliability and maintainability with creative technology and support from all departments.
Within first 6 months identify the top 10 assets which account for 80% of the lost production and greatest expenditure of operating budgets.
Work to develop over the years a 5 - 10 year capital and mechanical reliability funding forecast.
Develop data of design conditions for heat exchangers, pumps, compressor, and other engineered equipment, to track approach temperatures for heat exchangers, and power and flow efficiencies for pumps and compressors.
Job Requirements:
