Job Description:
H&E Equipment Services has an immediate opening for a Sr.
Claims Manager.
This position is an in-office position located in Baton Rouge, LA.
This person will report to the Director of Risk and function with a primary focus on understanding and owning the claims management process.
While this position in and of itself is critical to H&E's success, it is also a career path position that could lead to advancement.
The ideal candidate will have the experience to perform the job as described but will also possess the drive and aptitude to further advance into the more senior Director role over the next 12 months given job exposure, guidance, and support.
Job Requirements:
Gather information and prepare all documentation required to respond to interrogatories and requests for production of documents.
Manage all aspects of individual claims.
Compile litigation reports for Corporate counsel and outside counsel.
Send electronic litigation hold correspondence to all employees affected by litigation and maintain files.
Available to travel as needed (infrequent but possibly urgent), work extended hours, and be on call.
Act as a key relationship manager, working directly with insurance companies and brokers.
Coordinate quarterly review meetings with the company's insurance carrier and analyze claims.
Assist in preparing H&E employees for depositions and trials.
Supervise and administer processes to ensure that all contract haulers and brokers have sufficient insurance coverage.
Monitor all claims made against contract haulers and brokers.
Identify and proactively recommend opportunities for improvement.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Job
Qualifications:
At least 5 years of experience in workers' comp; general liability; and auto, EEOC, property, and product claims.
Other claims experience will be considered.
Capable of filing claims with insurance carriers and handling cases from file date through resolution, including litigation.
Familiar with the mediation process and capable of assisting while working with claims adjusters, Corporate executives, and outside counsel.
Knowledge of ANSI and OSHA regulations preferred but can be learned.
Familiarity with insurance policy and contract language.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Proficiency with office management software.
