We have an exciting opportunity for someone willing to learn a new industry.
The production technician will be trained to operate all production equipment and learn through an extensive shadowing program.
No experience required.
Excellent hours and benefits! The ideal candidate will be joining a great team where two-person teams work to produce various skincare formulations in production quantities.
Each team develops and implements production plans, including their schedule and produces baches to assure they comply with regulatory and safety requirements including FDA and GMP standards.
Production Assistant
Responsibilities:
1.
Assists in the production of cosmeceutical, over-the-counter drug, and other similar products in accordance with assigned product Production Bills of Materials by performing one or more of the following tasks in accordance with cGMP Standard Operating Procedures promulgated by the Company:
a.
Retrieving bulk materials required by the Production Bill of Materials from inventory for the product(s) to be manufactured.
b.
Weighing out and/or measuring the ingredients to be used for the manufacture of the assigned product(s) to the amounts and in the proportions prescribed by the corresponding Production Bill of Materials.
c.
Inspecting the equipment and utensils to be used to ensure their cleanliness and operability and taking all appropriate actions to correct any deficiencies found before the operation begins.
Setting machine speeds, temperatures, cycles and other operating parameters of the equipment to be used in the operation.
e.
Placing the ingredients into the equipment in the sequence and manner prescribed by the Production Bill of Materials.
f.
Starting and tending the equipment during the manufacturing process, which may include connecting waterlines between deionizer, filter press, and storage tanks to purify water for use in products, cooking the ingredients using a steam-jacketed kettle, and/or pumping ingredients or blends through a homogenizer to prepare emulsions or through a filter press to remove impurities.
g.
Draining manufactured product into other equipment or into storage tanks.
h.
Sampling manufactured product and sending samples to the Quality Control Unit for analyses.
i.
Cleaning the equipment and utensils used in preparation for subsequent use.
Education :
High school education.
Experience :
Will Train.
Skills :
a.
Familiarity with manual and automated material processing equipment.
b.
Familiarity with manual and automated material measuring and/or weighing instruments.
Physical Activities and Requirements :
Physical Strength :
Ability to stand and lift, move, and manipulate objects of various sizes, shapes and weight for extended periods of time.
Routinely lifts containers weighing from 25 to 50 pounds.
May exert up to one hundred (100) pounds of force occasionally.
Mobility :
Ability to climb safety ladders to retrieve materials from raise shelves or pour ingredients into production equipment.
