All you must do is want it! Continuing Education is available! Need a new set of Grooming Clippers? No Problem! Here at Destination Pet, we want our groomers to have nothing but the best! What is required of our employees? Professional experience safely grooming pets (required).
A great attitude! MUST LOVE DOGS - We have a lot of them! Be able to lift 40 pounds.
Grooming requires some standing, walking and physical activity.
Be proficient at handling dogs.
Work in an environment with exposure to disinfectant/sanitation What about the pay? You have the choice to choose commission or an hourly rate for 60 days 50% commission or 40% commission if you are working with a bather thus allowing you to do more dogs and make more money.
30% on basic bath (Usually the kennel staff does these, but sometimes they need help) Or will receive an hourly wage for 60 days.
